The tournament will tee off at 9am on Friday, September 15th 2023 at Compass Pointe Golf Course. Please arrive no later than 8:30 to allow time for registration. If you'd like to get there early (e.g. 7:30 am) to warm up, your entry fee covers range balls, and the putting greens will be open.

Your $155 Entry Fee will include the 18 hole golf tournament, provisions on the course, appetizers after the round, door prizes, and a donation to this year's designated charity on behalf of Round Bay. Future annual events may donate to a different local charity to benefit the community.

Lunch will be provided at the turn, and after the event light fare will be provided during the prize / award ceremony. Each individual will receive 5 drink tickets for use throughout the day - if you don't need yours, you may find a thirsty golfer and share. Additional beverages may be purchased.
Tournament - Format and Rules
We will play a "Scramble" Format:
(Some call this "best ball"): A scramble means that all team members tee off on each hole, and then decide which tee shot they like the best and mark the spot with a tee or ball marker. The other team members pick up their balls and place them within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Each team member hits their second shot from this chosen spot (the location of their group's best tee shot). This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. The ball should be marked on the putting green. Putts need to be placed within 3 inches of the marked spot (no closer to the hole). The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score, and others can pick up as soon as a putt is made in order to keep pace. You may lift, clean and place your ball within one club length on the selected shot; however, you may not move your ball out of a hazard (including bunkers), out of the rough, from the fairway or rough to the apron or from the apron to the green. Please have a designated scorekeeper from your group, and please turn scorecards in to Erin Gruver.

Each team is made up of 4 players. You may register with a foursome or if you sign up individually we will add you to a team. Ladies play from the red markers, Men play from the white markers, Seniors (over 67 years old) play from the golds.
You will also have the option to purchase/donate additional amounts to further enhance your fun for the day. For $25, you will be able to get a 3-pack consisting of:
- 1 "Mulligan" (i.e. a re-do on any shot, that doesn't count as a stroke).
- 1 "Beach Ball" (i.e. a hand-toss only out of the sand towards the hole, rather than having to hit with a wedge). This DOES NOT count as a stroke.
- 1 "Hand Grenade" (which is like a Beach Ball but you can use it anywhere on the course). This DOES NOT count as a stroke.
- NOTE: Only one Beach Ball or Hand Grenade may be used per hole, per team. You must log/track your usage on your scorecard.
Additional Events & Information
Your entry fee will automatically enroll you in the following mini-events!
- Hole-in-One - You only have one chance at the Hole-in-One prize on the designated hole. Due to the nature and magnitude of the prize involved, a witness from your group must attest to any hole in one.
- Closest to the Pin Hole - Your “tee” shot must be on the green to count. If you beat the existing closest to the pin put your name on the marker and move it to your ball location.
- Longest Drive Hole - Your drive must be in the fairway to count. If your drive is in the Fairway and further than the longest drive marker, then put your name on the marker and move it to your ball location. Mens and Womens longest drives will each be awarded.
- Putting Competition (additional cash fee) - For those who return from the round earlier, while others complete their round, there will be putting competitions on the practice putting green.
Note: Mulligans & Hand Grenades cannot be used for Hole-In-One/Longest Drives/Closest to the Pin contests.
PRIZES WILL BE PROVIDED AND THE WINNING FOURSOME'S NAMES WILL BE PLACED ON THE ROUND BAY OPEN "CUP"
